Why are QA Members Good Scrum Masters?

Speaker – Gull Ben-David

Why did MyHeritage decide to put the QA members as Scrum masters? One reason is because of the nature of QA engineers. We learn as we go, trying to fix what’s not working while ensuring that we maintain what proves to be successful.
When you think of a team leader, you usually imagine someone standing on the top of a pyramid. Accordingly we think of the most experienced and acknowledged person as the one to fit the role, and usually this is not the QA team member.
But if you ignore those assumptions and think about the job requirements, and the process of Scrum methodology, you’ll see that a good QA team member just might be the perfect candidate for the job.
